Azeroth has been remade in the wake of the Cataclysm. Thrall has left his people to end the Cataclysm at its source, leaving the Horde in the hands of Garrosh Hellscream. Garrosh's reckless leadership has caused strife between himself and the other leaders of the Horde. Durotar's resources are running out and Garrosh is determined to do whatever it takes to maintain the dominance of the Horde.
Meanwhile, Vol'jin is in the Echo Isles. The Darkspear Trolls, once exiled from Stranglethorn Vale, have decided to stop running and make a permanent home for themselves. Now, they are preparing to defend their new home. A peace has been negotiated between the Horde and Jaina Proudmoore, but humans have begun to appear in Durotar in violation of the treaty.
